š·Ā This series of masterclasses is designed to give you access to direct tuition by three world-class experts across three D3 Theory subject areas: Burgundy, Bordeaux and Chile.
š·Ā The focus will be firmly on the D3 Theory specification, past/potential exam topics and areas where you could benefit from more context and explanation of the content in the D3 book.
š·Ā Having the opportunity to learn from these Masters of Wine about their specialist subjects in more depth than the scope of the book permits will allow you to add colour and understanding to an exam answer, should these topics come up.
š·Ā You will also find that they help to bring these topics alive for you more than the book, which will in turn help you to remember them more easily!
š·Ā Many of the concepts covered will have application across other exam questions even if these particular topics don’t appear.
All masterclasses will be moderated by Anne and will last between 1 hour and 90 minutes, including a Q&A session at the end where you can ask your questions directly to the experts.
š·Ā Masterclasses will be recorded and a limited-time replay available afterwards for all registrants
š·Ā Non-D3 and non-WSET Diploma students are very welcome to register, on the understanding that the focus will remain very much on D3

Jasper is one of the world’s leading authorities on Burgundy and author of the award-winning book Inside Burgundy. His company, Morris & Verdin, became known as the UKās leading Burgundy importer during the 1990s before being sold to Berry Bros. & Rudd in 2003.
Jasper remained with BBR as Burgundy Director until 2017 before retiring from commerce to focus on his new career as Burgundy expert and critic, culminating in the launch of Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy in 2018.
A regular international lecturer on Pinot Noir and Burgundy, Morris also writes about the latter for Decanter and The World of Fine Wine, as well as being responsible for all the Burgundy entries in The Oxford Companion to Wine.

Alun has more than 40 yearsā experience in the wine trade.
He spent his early years in retail, wholesale and on-premise businesses before being appointed Wine Buyer for Fortnum & Mason, and then for Harrods, before becoming Wine Director at Berry Bros and Rudd for ten years, covering the UK, Asia and Ireland.
His chief areas of expertise lie in purchasing (with extensive experience of the Bordeaux market), education and hospitality. In 2013, he became International Director of the Vats Group in China with a mission to help inspire the young generation of internationalized Chinese wine lovers with a passion for fine wine.
Alun retired from international business in April 2020 and now consults from his UK base.

Tim is an award-winning UK wine journalist with an international following. He writes for Harpers and Decanter, and has his own, award-winning website, timatkin.com.
Tim has contributed to a number of books on wine and has judged wines in the UK, France, Italy, the United States, Argentina, Spain, South Africa, Chile and Australia and is co-chairman of the London-based International Wine Challenge, the worldās biggest and most rigorously judged blind tasting competition.
Amongst his many other achievements, Tim is widely respected for his regular ‘Special Reports’ on a range of wine regions, including Chile which is the topic of this masterclass.
